FREE Business Counseling

The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce can bring you the assistance you need towards reaching your business goals with the guidance of professional counselors available in our office. With the services of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (S.C.O.R.E) we can provide you the solutions to your small business challenges and needs.

All counseling sessions are free and confidential. Counseling is provided in-person at the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Whitinsville office on almost all aspects of business including the following:

  • Start-up
  • Business plan preparation
  • Business financing
  • Cash flow and cost analysis
  • Marketing/Sales
  • Manufacturing operations and control
  • Retail management
  • Information Technology

The BVCC is ready to begin scheduling appointments with SCORE counselors for October 2008. A SCORE counselor will be at our location every first and third Tuesday of the month. Please Call Anne Chamberlain at 508-234-9090 to schedule an appointment.

About SCORE

SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, is a non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner of the United States Small Business Administration.

SCORE was founded in 1964, currently has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories and has approximately 10,500 volunteer members nationwide. Both working and retired executives, professionals and business owners donate their time and expertise as business counselors. Small Business Development Center

SBDC (Small Business Development Center)

The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) Network provides free, confidential, one-to-one management and technical advise to prospective and existing small businesses throughout the Commonwealth. The MSBDC provides specialized services in the areas of capital formation, minority business assistance, business and industry data, international trade and procurement technical assistance which further augment services.

Counseling is provided in-person at the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce office on almost all aspects of business including the following:

  • Feasibility Studies and Start-up Issues
  • Business Plan Development
  • Cash Flow Analysis
  • Marketing and Sales Strategies
  • Financial Plan Development
  • Financing Options and Loan Packaging
  • Buy/Sell and Valuation Assistance
  • Technology and E-commerce Assistance
  • Equity Business Plans 

Please call 508-234-9090 to schedule an appointment. Counselor John Rainey is available at our location every other Thursday afternoon. If this time is not convenient for you, we can negotiate a time that would best fit your schedule.
