SPECIAL NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT:
New Website Available Now on Conditons Along Blackstone River

The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council & the Northern RI Chamber of Commerce are announcing that a new website, http://blackstonealert.com, is up and running.

This new website gives the public, businesses, residents, travelers, the media and communities along the river up-to-date conditions on the Blackstone River.

With predictions of the Blackstone River rising due to heavy rain today and forecast for the next few days, this new website will serve as a valuable resource for everyone.

This alert system developed from the Flood Forum held in March 2006, which was attended by business leaders and government officials, as a result of the flooding on the Blackstone River that occurred in October 2005.

The website is available 24/7, 365 days and provides links to related river and emergency information.
