Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Breakfast Meeting and Awards Ceremony
Wednesday, November 15, 2006, 7:30am
Pleasant Valley Country Club, Sutton, MA


The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2006 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at 7:30am on Wednesday November 15, 2006, at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton.

Guest Speaker Thomas Cahir, Deputy Secretary of Transportation, will share insights on the 146 project, and what the State envisions will be the long term impact to areas along the expanded highway, as well as the 11 adjoining town centers. The Chamber's director will present its 2007 plans for increasing membership services, tourism initiatives, and significantly expanding its role in regional economic development efforts.

The 2007 slate of officers and incoming directors will be formally elected, and the 2006 annual chamber awards will be presented. The 2006 honor award recipients are Scott Rossiter - Lampin Corporation, Paula Brouillette - Selectman Douglas, Jesse Deacon - Southwick's Zoo.

Cornerstone Awards for outstanding construction or rehabilitation projects will be awarded to Blackstone Valley Vocational Technical School (public category), Millbury Savings Bank (corporate category), and WB Smith Company of Grafton (small business category).

A special Blackstone Valley Farm Fresh Breakfast will be served with ingredients from many of the local Valley farms. Reservations for this event are recommended.
