Congressman Neal to Announce Support of Blackstone Valley National Park Initiative

Northbridge, MA: Please join Congressman Richard Neal, this Monday, October 10th (Columbus Day), 11 am at Lookout Rock on Quaker Highway in Northbridge to show support of the legislation to create a National Park in the Blackstone Valley. Congressman Neal will be meeting supporters at Lookout Rock and will then explore some of the beauty of the Blackstone River Valley's surrounding trails.

"For many years, I have been an enthusiastic and outspoken supporter of the Blackstone Valley Heritage Corridor. It is a special place that celebrates the region's history, heritage and culture. It is also a magnificent natural resource that is enjoyed by thousands of people each year. I look forward to visiting Lookout Rock in Northbridge on Monday and expressing my strong support to the effort in Congress to make the corridor part of the Natural Park System," said Congressman Richard E. Neal.

Predicted weather is a beautiful Fall Day. No better time for a walk in our Valley!

Come join us! Let Congressman Neal know you support a National Park in the Blackstone Valley.

Directions to Look Out Rock: Take the Mass Pike (Rte 90) to exit 11. Go south on rte 122 for 10+ miles to Rockdale. Turn left onto School St. and then follow school for 1.3 miles. Turn Right onto Quaker Street and go 1.1 miles until you fork right staying on Quaker St. Parking for Lookout Rock is 1.2 miles on the right. From 495 take exit 20 (rte 85) and head south towards Rte 16 (straight thru the lights at Wendy's). At intersection of Rte 16, take a right and follow 16 thru downtown Milford, thru Hopedale, and into Mendon. You will pass thru Mendon Center also, but don't blink, or you'll miss it. About a half mile after the Dodge dealership (on the left) take a right onto Hartford Ave and follow that for about 2.7 miles. Turn sharp right on Upton Road (Upton Road Becomes Wolf Hill Road at some point, but it's not clearly identified). Lastly turn Left at Quaker St, and the Lookout Rock Parking Area is about a 1/3rd mile from there.
