State Treasurer Steve Grossman is Keynote Speaker at Blackstone Valley Chamber Annual Meeting

The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its 34th Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at 7:30am on Wednesday, November 7th, at Pleasant Valley Country Club, 95 Armsby Road, Sutton, MA.

Keynote speaker is Steve Grossman, Massachusetts State Treasurer. Treasurer Grossman brings to the office of Treasurer a family heritage of public service, a lifetime dedicated to helping others, and years of experience as a hard-working businessman with a sense of responsibility for the well-being of his colleagues and his community. Since this is the day after the elections, Treasurer Grossman will be offering his insight into the economic future of Massachusetts.

He is committed to using the full potential of the Treasurer's office to protect the public's money, help create jobs, boost small businesses, and bring new standards of transparency and disclosure to state government. Throughout his career, Grossman has had an unshakable commitment to recruiting and hiring the most qualified people to help him develop the most effective and cost-efficient ways of doing business.

Awards will be presented to those individuals, nominated by their peers, who have exhibited outstanding contributions in Tourism and Volunteer efforts in the Blackstone Valley. The Cornerstone Award will be presented to a new or expanded facility that brings economic value to the Blackstone Valley, and the Gerry Gaudette Extra Mile Award, will recognize an individual from the public or private sector who has contributed significantly to an improved quality of life.
