John E. Decker Joins Unibank as Vice President and Commercial Lending Officer

WHITINSVILLE, MA - Deborah L. Larsen, senior vice president and senior lending officer,

John E. Decker - UniBank VP

recently announced that John E. Decker has joined UniBank as vice president and commercial loan officer. In this position, Mr. Decker will be responsible for new business development and servicing existing commercial loan clients in the Metro West Market.

Mr. Decker comes to UniBank from Millennium bcpbank, n.a. where he served as vice president and team leader of the New England Business Banking Group. He has over 20 years of experience in banking and finance, beginning his career with Shawmut Bank and having also worked for Plymouth Savings Bank, First Federal Savings Bank of America, GE Capital and Fleet Bank.

Mr. Decker earned his Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University and attended the New England Banking Institute. He is very committed to the community, where he serves as a board member for the Rotary Club of Taunton and is active with the Old Colony YMCA's "Strong Kids" fundraising campaign. He is also very involved with the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce, The Heart of Taunton Committee and the Fall River Chamber of Commerce & Industry where he has served as a Chamber ambassador.

Mr. Decker is a lifelong resident of Taunton, MA where he lives with his wife Suzanne. They are expecting twins in February 2011.
