Blackstone Valley Tech Culinary Arts Students to Host Dinner Fundraiser

UPTON — On Wednesday, February 8, Blackstone Valley Tech Culinary Arts students along with their instructors will host a Pre-Valentine's Day dinner in the school's Three Seasons Restaurant from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The gourmet menu features lobster risotto cakes and pan-seared duck breast, among many other delicious offerings. A five-course fixed price option is also available in addition to the a la carte menu.

The proceeds and gratuities will help fund the Culinary Arts three-day educational senior class trip to Vermont where they will be visiting the Cabot Creamery, Ben and Jerry's, New England Culinary Institute, and King Arthur Flour.

Reservations can be made by calling 508-529-7758, extension 3109. Students will return all messages left outside restaurant hours. The Three Seasons Restaurant is a full-service restaurant run by students under the guidance of instructors. The restaurant is regularly open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. during the school year. The restaurant is a hands-on classroom where students gain experience in menu planning, purchasing, quality control, service, catering, dietary/health and management considerations in a real-life environment. Valley Tech students host/hostess, wait tables and are involved from start to finish in the preparation of all meals served in the restaurant. The Three Seasons Restaurant is a showcase for the skills taught to Culinary Arts students who go on to thrive in the culinary world in all types of establishments upon completion of the program.
