We know you have an interest in the success and well-being of people and businesses in the Blackstone Valley. Now you have a chance to join the Blackstone Valley Education Foundation's Donate to the Education Foundationgood work that supports personal, economic and community development in our region.

You can contribute any amount easily and securely via our eCommerce site using your MasterCard, VISA, Discover or American Express card, or by preparing a check made payable to the BV Education Foundation.

Here are some insights as result of community support.

A Teacher writes about the STEM Conference for Valley 7th and 8th graders: "I really appreciate the chance for my students to be exposed to campus life, STEM careers, and meeting students from other districts. Even better, we work on these ideas long after the conference."

A Student writes about his experience with the Valley Youth Leadership Academy: "...if I had not completed BVYLA, I never would have had the courage to advocate for the school and talk in front of hundreds of people. Due to the connections I made through the program, I now have opportunities open to me that never would have been there." (A 2005 BVYLA graduate)

A Student writes about her experience with the Career Fair for Valley sophomores: "I really enjoyed talking with the representatives from Milford Regional Health Care and explained their jobs, their training, and the work they do that I never knew about. Hands on opportunity here has made a big difference to my understanding." (2009 Regional Career Fair student)

A business person writes about his experience in the Entrepreneurship class: "This was a great course. It's made a huge difference to me and to my bottom line. I also got to meet a number of Valley service providers, which things like banking and insurance much easier to think about." (Millbury entrepreneur)

And, on grants to teachers, a Northbridge teacher says: "I am so excited about the opportunity this grant provides. There is collaborative effort among other teachers and students that is so worthwhile and such a good experience in teaching and learning."

With cuts in opportunity, supporting our children and our communities has never been more important. We thank you, in advance, for your consideration in funding the Blackstone Valley Education Foundation's mission "to enrich education and strengthen leadership" in the Valley.
