This popular 4,650-acre state forest borders Connecticut and Rhode Island. Visitors enjoy swimming, boating and fishing at Wallum Lake and hunting, hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling on miles of woodland trails throughout the forest.

Restored by the Douglas Historical Society, the Jenckes Store of 1835 and Museum is a typical small town country store of a hundred years ago that was the lifeblood of the community, selling everything from ladders to lace, furniture to feather plumes.
