Millbury
Situated on the Blackstone River and two of its tributaries, Millbury
has thrived on a variety of industries, ranging from gun making and
paper to shoes and textiles. Today Millbury's industries includes
sophisticated facilities for CD-ROM disks and related media. Millbury
straddles Route 146, providing a direct link to neighboring Worcester
and to Providence, Rhode Island. With the completion of the Route
146/Mass Pike exchange in 1998, this roadway will provide a crucial
transportation corridor to Central Massachusetts, maintaining Millbury's
access to the best resources the region has to offer.
